Ivory and green wedding cake
Emma and Dan were married at Micklefield Hall on 16 August, and they had a beautiful wedding, with lots of greenery, ivory flowers and copper accents.
They chose a 4 tier polished buttercream cake. Flavour wise, they chose vanilla and lavender cake with vanilla and lavender buttercream, oreo cake with oreo buttercream, raspberry and white chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache, and baileys cake with baileys buttercream,.
They also chose an amazing cake stand! I'm so in love with this one - it looked amazing and added a slightly tougher edge to the cake, which could otherwise have been a but too pretty.
The bride is also friends with the incredibly talented Charlotte of Charlotte Jade, friends of The Dandelion Bakery and maker of incredible print designs that I've used on cakes before. Charlotte also makes the most amazing 3D paper flowers and they were used to create the most beautiful seating chart for this wedding. Oh, and more copper piping!
The flowers were very heavy on the foliage, loose and relaxed, and looked amazing combined with structural copper stands. The flowers were provided by Andrew Fleming, who I love working with - he always provides the most glorious flowers to out on a cake!
