Bright floral vegan wedding cake

This was a bit of a last minute cake. I met Simi and Cliff after they'd been let down by another cake maker so we only had 5 weeks from first contact to the wedding day, which is a pretty quick turnaround for a wedding cake. I quickly booked them in for a cake tasting and, thankfully, they loved the cake!

They chose a gin and tonic cake with gin and tonic buttercream, a gin and tonic cake with gin and tonic buttercream and lime buttercream, an oreo cake with oreo buttercream and just a smear of chocolate hazelnut spread, and a lemon and blueberry cake with raspberry buttercream and blueberry buttercream.

They loved the range of vegan flavours that I can make, and they were surprised by how many options they had. The groom was ecstatic about the vegan chocolate hazelnut spread!

They chose a polished buttercream finish for the cake, with a full cascade of flowers, and it really is the flowers that make this cake. Love Flowers are wonderful and they are my go to florist whenever I need to decorate a cake, so I was thrilled to find that they were already booked for this wedding. The huge statement flowers on this cake in hot, tropical colours make it really spectacular.

Simi and Cliff were married at Moor Park and the flowers were provided by Love Flowers, and you can see more of their flowers from this wedding.
