A burgundy, peach and ivory semi naked
I was so pleased when Sonia and James contacted me about their wedding because I'd made Sonia's sister's wedding cake a couple of years ago. I love it when people come to me because they've seen and eaten my cakes at other weddings and loved them, and it's even more special when it's sisters!
This cake was a 4 tier cake with some great flavours. The couple made sure they had something for everyone. They chose carrot cake with orange buttercream, lemon and blueberry cake with blueberry buttercream, baileys cake with baileys buttercream and baileys chocolate ganache, and raspberry and white chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream and white chocolate ganache.
They chose rich reds, peaches and ivory as their colours for their autumnal weather with gold and rose gold accents. As this was an autumn wedding, there is always a limit to the flowers that you can get so they cleverly mixed fresh flowers and foliage with silk to create the look they wanted. It worked brilliantly and you really had to get up close to spot the silk ones.
