About the event

This year I am taking part in the London Marathon and Ride London 100 mile bike ride to raise funds for Diabetes UK. As part of my fundraising, I am raffling one of my signature junkyard birthday cakes.

The cake is a 7 inch sponge cake decorated in my junkyard style, featuring drip icing, fresh flowers, macarons, meringues and all kinds of sweet treats. The cake is available in your choice of flavour and colours. The cake serves 20 portions and usually costs £85.

The cake can be delivered to any location within a 60 mile radius of Watford or to any location in Yorkshire.

The raffle will be drawn on 30th April 2019.

The winner will be notified by email or phone, and will then be able to order the cake within the next 12 month period. The cake must be booked at least 2 weeks before the date required.

Your cake will be treated as any other cake order, which work on a first come, first served basis. Cakes will not be available on Sundays, dates that The Dandelion Bakery is closed, or dates where the kitchen is already fully booked at the point of ordering.

Terms and conditions

The purchase of one raffle ticket entitles the player to one chance in the relevant raffle draw. All tickets will be the same price (currently £5).

This raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands).

Underage gambling is an offence.

UK law states that it is an offence for raffle tickets to be sold to, by or on behalf of a person under 16 years of age. If a ticket is sold to, by, or bought on behalf of a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will not be awarded any prize.

Monies raised by this raffle will support the work of The British Diabetic Association operating as Diabetes UK, a charity registered in England and Wales (no. 215199) and in Scotland (no. SC039136)

Payment for participation in the raffle can be made by credit/debit card or cash. We discourage sending cash in the post as this is insecure.

Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received.

Any ticket payments received after the draw will be considered as donations to Diabetes UK.

Winning raffle tickets will be drawn randomly. The first ticket drawn will win the first prize.

The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Winners will be notified by email or telephone as soon as possible after the draw date. Please keep your order email as proof of purchase.

A list of winners will be published at www.thedandelionbakery.com. Names of winners and results of the raffle will be available on request to jo@thedandelionbakery.com.

Where The Dandelion Bakery is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for three months following the first attempt to notify the prize-winner, the raffle will be re-drawn

All winners are required to co-operate with The Dandelion bakery's requirement to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested..

Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.
